ALASKA SHEEP HUNTING OUTFITTER

Back in April, I received an email from Hunting Guides and Outfitters.net, in regards to an Alaskan Dall Sheep cancellation hunt. After speaking to the outfitter Rob Hardy and dozens of references and of course, asking my wife (she said no…🤭) over the next couple weeks, I decided to go ahead and book the sheep hunt for the final 10 days of the season.

Fast forward to September 19th, 2023. After a delayed hunt start due to weather, and multiple days in our tents due to zero visibility and snow, we were finally making an approach on a band of 4 rams we had initially seen 5 days prior. After making a big loop down the drainage, we circled back along the base of the mountain and found ourselves within striking distance of the sheep. After close to an hour of waiting the rams began to feed out directly above us at 188 yards. The big ram was the last ram to show himself. As he positioned himself atop a large black rock outcrop I centered the crosshairs on his chest, squeezed the trigger of the Fierce Arms 300PRC and the rest is history!

An absolute dream sheep hunt in a dream location for a dream ram. I cannot thank Rob Hardy enough for putting us on the X and all his hard work before, during, and after the hunt!
